Also known as ‘Ultrasound Facelift’, ‘Ultherapy’ or ‘3D SkinMed’, HIFU facials have become one of the most popular and desirable lifting treatments for the face and neck. Post-treatment, you’ll see a marked improvement in overall facial contouring, fine lines, and wrinkles.
HIFU stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. If you’re battling sagging cheeks, crow’s feet, wrinkles, prominent lines from nose to mouth, under-eye bags, a heavy brow or drooping jowls, then this treatment is an ideal fit.
The HIFU facelift is currently topping the bill as the most discreet and effective face-lift ever. It’s so quick that you can get one during a lunch break.

Ultrasound waves stimulate collagen-building at precise skin depths

How Does a HIFU Facial Work?
As we age our skin loses its elasticity and shape, much like our favourite clothes. This change begins in the foundational layers which support our skin—which is how skin sagging and wrinkles occur. When collagen is heated by ultrasound multiple things happen.
Ultrasound technology involves the use of sound wave frequencies. During pregnancy scans, low-frequency sound waves (between 3 – 7.5 MHz) are emitted by an ultrasound device over the mother’s bump. The device transmits the consequent reflections of these sound waves and uses them to form an image.
During a HIFU facial, the HIFU treatment machine uses high-energy ultrasound waves (between 18-20 kHz—a range that is above human hearing) for body contouring instead.
